Our team is here to support your unique path with an individually tailored, collaborative and reciprocal process. When the client-practitioner relationship takes a non-hierarchical stand, it makes way for mutual trust, learning and true healing. Intrinsic welcomes you – exactly as you are – to an open and inclusive environment where your healing is the priority. Our team is intentionally versatile, with an empowering and human-first philosophy that extends from practitioner to client. Step into a space where you can drop your armour and celebrate your individual nuances, in company.

The Intrinsic team is comprised of multi-faceted individuals, each with a distinct background and perspective that’s celebrated and embraced. They’re united by the desire to lead with human-centric counselling that nurtures individual freedom and in turn, fuels collective healing.

You may be feeling a noticeable or significant struggle with anxiety, depression, or burnout or are experiencing curiosities about purpose, vision, career and life transitions or circumstances such as stress-leave, breakup, infidelity and other lived experiences. Therapy acts as a constant entry point for general reflection and resourcing at any stage or season in life.

Newfound freedom and fulfilment is within reach. With a focus on somatic, relational and trauma-informed support, Intrinsic Therapy is home to a versatile team of empathetic, open and invested practitioners. We welcome all to find safe belonging, make real shifts and transform from within. The magic of authenticity? When we know and accept ourselves, it extends to our communities to fuel collective healing – a revolution we’re all for. Transformation sparks with self-knowing and grows with self-love. We each hold layers of conditioning, unmet needs and quieted desires; together, let’s explore them without judgement. As you make real shifts, Intrinsic equips you with tools and practices to navigate every change with honest compassion.

Founded by Cristina Kalas, a Registered Psychologist and proponent for human-centric counselling, Intrinsic is home to a versatile team of empathetic, open and invested practitioners. Our culture is intentionally inclusive and empowers our people—including folks that are asexual, queer, trans, non-binary, Black, Indigenous, racialized and differently abled as well as those who have experienced systemic oppression or gender-based violence—to get curious and challenge convention in safe belonging.
